This metal roofing contract with Clark Construction on the Fort Jackson
training facility in Columbia, SC was completed in 2003. The project
consisted of seven buildings, including six three-story barracks of
25,000 square feet each, and a dining hall of 10,000 square feet.
Cyclone also handled all the trim, soffit, and underlay.
Cyclone Roofing manufactured the metal roof panels and trim for this
project on site. The panel installation consisted of 16” 24-gauge
standing seam roof panels with mechanically seamed laps over 2” ISO and
plywood on a metal deck; the roof pitch was 5 in 12. The project took
approximately one year to complete.
Extensive coordination between Cyclone, Clark Construction, and the
Army Corps of Engineers ensured the success of the project. As a result
of the attention to detail and quality of the work exhibited at Fort
Jackson, Cyclone was invited to bid, and has been awarded other
projects for the Army Corps of Engineers.
